Ramsay Health Care Library
The RHC Library service is offered to Ramsay hospital staff with the aim of providing clinicians with direct access to evidence-based information for point of care decision making; medical, nursing and health research; and ongoing professional development.
The Library is at www.ramsaylibrary.com.au Onsite, at a networked computer, you can access most resources without a logon, however, if you are accessing from offsite (remotely) you will need a personal logon.
To gain your logon, submit the Registration form at https://register.openathens.net/ramsayhealth.com.au/register You need to be on the Ramsay network or have a Ramsay email address for this form to submit.
If you are from Hollywood or Joondalup hospitals, your Library registration is on a different form at http://ramsayhealth.intersearch.com.au/cgi-bin/koha/ramsayselfreg.pl
Forgotten Password
If you forget your password you can reset it at the Forgotten Password link. You will need your username (eg. rahjsmith001) and the email address you used to set up your account.
Renewal of your Library account
Your Library account will last for 18 months. Thirty days prior to its expiry you will be sent an email prompting you to renew. If you have registered with a personal email address, you will need to carry out the re-registration process onsite at work. Renewal

Who is eligible to register for a personal Athens logon?
All Ramsay Health Care staff and affiliated consultants are eligible to register for an Athens logon with which they will be able to access the online Library resources.
How do I gain a Library account (an Athens personal logon)?
To gain your logon, submit the Registration form at https://register.openathens.net/ramsayhealth.com.au/register This form will only submit if you are on a Ramsay networked computer or have a Ramsay email address.
Note that if you are from Hollywood or Joondalup hospitals, your Library registration is on a different form at http://ramsayhealth.intersearch.com.au/cgi-bin/koha/ramsayselfreg.pl
Once I have my Athens personal logon, how do I access the Library resources?
The Library is at www.ramsaylibrary.com.au Onsite, at a networked computer, you will be able to access most resources without a logon, however, if you are accessing from offsite (remotely) you will need a personal logon.
What if I forget my password?
Click on Forgotten Password. Once you have received your email confirming your new logon, return to the Library at www.ramsaylibrary.com.au and login to Athens. To reset your password, you will need your personal Athens username and the email address you used when you registered with the Library.
Please note that after five failed password attempts your account will be suspended for 10 minutes. Therefore, it is best to use the Forgotten Password link after three failed attempts.
Can students at Ramsay Health Care facilities access the Library resources?
Resource licensing does not permit students to register for remote resource access. However, they are entitled to use the Library resources from within their hospital (onsite) and will not require a personal logon to do this.
