Resource Descriptions

Discovery and EBSCOhost

Discovery provides a single platform to search across all the Library's e-resources, not just what’s available from EBSCO. It’s a great starting point for your search. Discovery is similar to Google, but vetoed by the Library. Of importance, Discovery includes a Publication Finder interface that allows you to browse eBook and journal titles from different vendor subscriptions.

EBSCOhost will only search research databases available from EBSCO, including Biomedical Reference Collection, CINAHL Plus with Full Text, MEDLINE, Nursing & Allied Health Collection, and EBSCO eBook Collections. EBSCOhost is great if you want to specifically concentrate on an individual database, because it contains limiters, search fields, and database options that are specifically tailored to that database.
